For applicants in Namibia

Train for care work in Germany.

Start in Namibia with German lessons and the basics of care. Then do a paid care assistant training of 12 to 18 months at a hospital in Germany. Our team is with you at every step.

Is this for you?

  • You have successfully finished Grade 12 or have the German Abitur.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are interested in care as a profession, and respect is your trademark.
  • You already speak German at level B1, and you want to reach B2.
  • You are in good health for the physical work in care.
  • You are ready to live in Germany for 12 to 18 months of training and work, and maybe longer.

Your path, step by step

  1. 1

    Register your interest

Fill in the short form. We contact you and invite you to an interview.

  2. 2

    Prepare in Namibia

For 7 to 8 months before the start in Germany: German up to the Goethe B2 certificate in speaking, writing, listening and reading, the basics of care, a check that care work suits you, and preparation for life and work in Germany, at our academy in Windhoek.

  3. 3

    Arrive in Germany

We organise passport and visa with you, pay the visa fees and your journey to your room in Germany, including the flight. We also help with appointments at German offices.

  4. 4

    Train and get paid

Your training in Germany starts on 1 August 2027 and takes 12 to 18 months. You earn from the first month, and a mentor supports you.

  5. 5

    Qualify and grow

You finish as a qualified care assistant (Pflegefachassistentin or Pflegefachassistent). Then you can keep working in Germany, continue with further training, or take your skills home to Namibia.

What you gain

You earn your own living from your first month. The partner clinic where you train pays you (public-sector rate for care assistant trainees in Germany). Health insurance and tax are deducted, and you pay rent for your room. We are happy to go through a realistic monthly budget with you. On top of that you gain a certified qualification, and that is the real win.

Do you pay anything to us? We pay for the preparation courses, the visa fees and your journey to Germany, including the flight. We also pay for your German B2 certificate at the Goethe-Institut. You sign a short agreement for the preparation time.

Life in Germany

You live and train in the town of your partner clinic, currently in Baden-Württemberg in the south of Germany. You live in a residence near the hospital, with your own room and bathroom. We help you open a bank account and register with the authorities. You have a contact person in Germany and one in Namibia, and they never leave you alone with a problem.

Questions applicants ask

Do I need to speak German already?

Yes, that would be good: you need at least level B1 to join. Before you travel to Germany, however, you must hold a certified B2.

Do I need to pay anything?

That depends on your German before you start. You may have to pay for a language school yourself beforehand. What we cover: the Goethe-Institut exam (B1 or B2, where needed), the preparation courses at our academy, the visa fees and your journey to Germany, including the flight. You sign an agreement for the preparation time.

Will I be paid during the training?

Yes. From your first month in Germany, the hospital where you train pays you.

How long does it all take?

About 7 to 8 months of preparation in Namibia, then 12 to 18 months of training in Germany, starting on 1 August 2027.

What happens after the training?

You can keep working in Germany as a care assistant, for example if your clinic takes you on, continue with further training, or return to Namibia with a German qualification.

Where is the academy?

In Windhoek. A second location on a farm is planned.
